Morata: Juve Not Underdog
Turin – On paper, Barcelona is much more favored than Juventus at the top of the party. However, Juve striker Alvaro Morata also believes his team has the same chance of great champions.
Bianconeri certainly ensure a ticket to Berlin after eliminating the defending champion Real Madrid 3-2 through 1-1 draw in the semi-final second leg in midweek. For Juve, this is the first Champions League final since 2003.
Of the existing teams, Juventus success is arguably surprising after stagnating in the group stages. The Turin club finally qualified for the knockout phase as runners-up group and set aside Borussia Dortmund, AS Monaco, and last El Real.
Meanwhile Barcelona more convincing. Relying on MSN trio; Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar, Barca only one defeat in this season when ditekul Paris St. Germain 2-3 in the group stages. Afterwards, Los Cules seamless beat Manchester City, PSG and Bayern Munich final.
“Advance to the Champions League final after 12 years is a great thing, and we continue this dream,” said Morata told Canal Plus.
“Now we want to win it and for me it will be a game that is completely different from an emotional standpoint,” he continued.
“Barcelona is a great team, but as well as with Juventus. And in a match that lasted only once there is no more the favorite team,” said Morata.
Juventus duel with Barcelona it will be the first since the two teams met in the quarter-finals of the Champions League 2002-03. When it came out as winners Juve through a 3-2 aggregate victory.
